Amherst has been selected as one of four regions in the province to host an “Internet Marketing Workshop for Small Business” as part of Small Business Week activities in Nova Scotia.
Sponsored by Broadband for Rural Nova Scotia, in partnership with the Department of Economic and Rural Development and the Atlantic Canada Internet Marketing Association, this one-day, hands-on seminar will take place on Wednesday, October 21st from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Wandlyn Inn in West Amherst. The seminar will show businesses just how to use Internet marketing methods to succeed online today and will provide both group learning as well as expert one-on-one advice. Each of the six sessions throughout the day will use simple, practical, real-life examples from other small businesses that are winning new customers every day online.
The seminars will be led by four veterans of the industry, selected for having extensive industry experience, strong communication skills, and a familiarity with the online and marketing challenges of small and mid-sized businesses. Workshop topics include: making a bad website good; social media for small business; winning new customers with search marketing; tactics, tools and tricks; email marketing from start to finish; and live website reviews. Throughout the day, attendees will be able to sign up for free, private one-on-one consulting about their own website or Internet marketing plans.
Workshop participants can register for the seminar online at www.internetseminars.ca, or by telephone at (902) 424-0183.
